Here is an original piece of reporting that I did about a small initiative trying to get curbside composting instated in Bushwick, Brooklyn. I wrote, shot, and edited the entire piece from start to finish.
This is a short teaser for an on documentary project that I have been working on since the summer of 2021.
Belle Glade, Florida, is a town that owes its existence to the sugar companies that dominate the region. For decades the sugar industry has been the largest employer in the area, with some families having worked for them for generations. However, it is a captive workforce surrounded by miles of sugar cane as far as the eye can see. Many of the residents live in poverty, and due to this, they have no means of leaving. In this project, my partner and I have been exploring the detrimental effects that the sugar industry has on the environment and the people that call the area home. Aside from producing, I am the head camera man on this project.
